Lutra ID and Central Tablelands Water

Until recently Central Tablelands Water (CTW) were like many small councils still relying on paper forms and spreadsheets for their data collection and analysis. This meant wasted time and a greater chance of human error. This changed when they decided to implement Lutra ID.

Since implementing ID, their field staff now use the Forms App in place of paper, with results feeding directly into the platform alongside lab results and SCADA data. Everything sits in one place, on secure Australian Azure servers, giving a single source of truth and making performance monitoring significantly more straightforward. CTW's team can now track critical control points and plant performance without hunting across multiple sources.

EPA compliance reporting is next. Once live, reports will generate automatically based on EPA rules, removing what is for most councils a constant source of both manual effort and stress.

To date, we have mainly used ID’s forms app and dashboarding. The forms app has made our data collection much easier and more reliable, than our old paper forms. Our water operators use this for daily test results and FASS data collection, and our water network teams use them to gather data. It is great because all data goes straight into ID. Our lab and SCADA data also gets pulled into ID too.

We use the data in dashboards to monitor our treatment plants performance and for alarms. One most useful dashboard is for Critical Control Point monitoring.

We find ID and the Lutra Team great to use and work with, and we are looking forward to bringing our compliance reports into the system too.
